1. Website Operator

This website is operated by Patti Bevilacqua, based in British Columbia, Canada.

In these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Patti Bevilacqua and the website’s authorized operators. “You” and “your” refer to the website visitor, customer, or person submitting an inquiry.

2. Website Purpose

This website provides information about Patti Bevilacqua’s writing, books, speaking services, advocacy, lived experience with multiple sclerosis, and related educational or inspirational content.

The website also allows customers to purchase available products, including eBooks, paperback books, and hardcover books.

3. Medical and Professional Disclaimer

The information provided through this website, its blog posts, books, and other materials is for general educational, informational, and inspirational purposes only.

It is not medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.

Nothing on this website creates a doctor-patient, therapist-client, or other healthcare-professional relationship.

Always consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional regarding symptoms, diagnosis, medications, treatment, mental health, or changes to your healthcare plan.

Do not delay or disregard professional medical advice because of information found on this website.

4. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to place an order or purchase a product.

Where a purchaser is under the applicable age of majority, a parent or legal guardian must complete the purchase.

5. Products and Availability

We make reasonable efforts to display accurate information about our products, including descriptions, formats, prices, and availability.

Products may include:

– Digital eBooks

– Paperback books

– Hardcover books

– Other products or services added in the future

Product availability may change without notice. We may limit quantities, discontinue products, or decline an order where necessary.

6. Prices, Currency and Taxes

All prices are displayed in the currency clearly identified on the product and checkout pages.

Applicable taxes, shipping fees, handling charges, customs duties, and other costs will be displayed or explained before the customer completes the purchase, where applicable.

Customers placing international orders are responsible for customs duties, import taxes, or fees charged by their country unless otherwise stated.

7. Orders and Payment

Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected product.

An order is accepted when payment has been successfully processed and an order-confirmation email has been issued.

We may cancel or refuse an order where:

– Payment cannot be processed

– Product information or pricing contains a material error

– A product is unavailable

– Fraud or unauthorized activity is suspected

– Delivery to the selected location is unavailable

If payment has already been collected for an order that we cancel, the applicable amount will be refunded.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers. Their separate terms and privacy practices may apply.

8. Order Confirmation

Customers will receive an electronic order confirmation or receipt containing applicable transaction details including product description, total price, taxes, delivery arrangements, and return information.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate email and delivery address.

9. Digital Products and eBooks

Digital products are licensed for the purchaser’s personal, non-commercial use only.

Purchasing an eBook does not transfer ownership of the copyright or intellectual property contained in the product.

You may not:

– Reproduce or redistribute an eBook

– Upload it to a public or shared platform

– Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit it

– Remove copyright or ownership notices

– Share the download link with unauthorized users

10. Shipping and Delivery

Physical orders will be shipped to the address entered during checkout.

Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed.

We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, incorrect customer information, or events outside our reasonable control.

Customers should contact us promptly if an order is delayed, damaged, missing, or delivered incorrectly.

11. Returns, Refunds and Cancellations

Eligible physical books may be returned within 30 days of delivery in unused, unmarked, and resalable condition.

Digital products are generally non-refundable after access or download has been provided, except where defective, duplicated, technically unusable, or otherwise required by law.

Incorrect, damaged, or defective products may qualify for replacement or refund.

Statutory consumer cancellation and refund rights remain unaffected.

12. Third-Party Purchases

Products purchased from Amazon or another third-party retailer are governed by that retailer’s payment, shipping, cancellation, return, and refund policies.

We are not responsible for managing refunds or order changes for purchases processed entirely through third-party platforms.

13. Speaking and Booking Inquiries

Submitting the Book Me form or contacting Patti Bevilacqua about a speaking engagement does not create a confirmed booking or binding agreement.

A booking is confirmed only after the parties agree to the scope and details, a separate written agreement is signed where required, and any required deposit or payment is received.

Speaking fees, deposits, travel costs, cancellation terms, rescheduling terms, recording permissions, and other conditions will be addressed in the applicable booking agreement.

14. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the website and its content are owned by or licensed to Patti Bevilacqua.

15. User Comments and Submissions

Where comments, testimonials, or other submissions are permitted, you must not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, promotional spam, or technically harmful.

We may moderate, reject, or remove submissions that violate these Terms.

Where you intentionally submit a testimonial or content for publication, you grant us permission to display, reproduce, and format it for the agreed purpose.
